Welcome to our Corridor!

We are Kevin and Michaela, two artists who met at Wimbledon Art Studios. Our art studios were on the opposite side of rather narrow dark corridor at the back of Red Studios. While Kevin still resides at studio 211, Michaela has moved from 216 to another studio on the same floor. However, we wanted to honour our first encounter and that’s how ‘The Corridor’ was born.

From the moment Michaela moved into Wimbledon Art Studios, she knew she wanted to create something that reached beyond the walls of her studio.

”I had a vision of bringing artists together to create new opportunities: exhibiting at prestigious art fairs, organising talks and workshops, building a supportive creative community, and championing talented artists whose voices and work deserve to be seen by a wider audience.

I wanted to create something with energy and momentum—to make waves.

The journey did not begin exactly as I had imagined, but ultimately it had led me to Kevin. From the beginning, it became clear that we shared a similar vision, enthusiasm and belief in what a collective could achieve.

Kevin turned out to be the perfect partner for this journey. As the collective developed, so did a genuine friendship, and I am incredibly grateful that our paths crossed.

Together, we are building a platform that goes beyond simply exhibiting art. Our ambition is to create opportunities, encourage conversation, support under-represented artists and grow a vibrant community around creativity.”

This is just the beginning—and we intend to make waves.
